1. What we collect

• Account basics: email, display name, and password (stored hashed by our auth provider).
• Study activity: answers, timing, scores, streaks, vocabulary progress, and mock results.
• AI tutor conversations: your messages to Clutch and its replies, kept so your threads persist.
• Technical basics: rough usage logs needed to run and secure the service.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not run third-party ad trackers.

2. How we use it

To run the product: computing your progress, generating reports, matchmaking arena races, and giving the AI tutor the context of the question you are asking about. Aggregated, de-identified statistics may be used to improve question quality.

3. Who can see your data

• You, always.
• Parents you or your institution linked — progress summaries, mock reports, and activity, never your chat messages. Every link is visible on your settings page and can be revoked.
• Your institution’s administrators if your account belongs to an institution — progress and roster data for their org only.
• Our support staff, for troubleshooting — their actions are audit-logged, and there is no “log in as you” capability.

4. Processors we rely on

Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), AI providers for tutor responses (they receive the question text and your message, not your name or email), a voice synthesis provider for lesson audio, and an email provider for reports and invites. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

5. Emails

Progress reports go only to recipients you or your institution set up. Every report email has a manage link that changes frequency or stops emails entirely — no login required.

6. Retention and deletion

Your data stays while your account is active. Deleting your account removes personal data within 30 days; anonymized aggregates may be retained. Institutions control retention for their managed accounts.

7. Children

Rankd1600 is for students preparing for the SAT, generally 13 and older. Accounts for younger students must be created and managed by a parent or institution.
